CUSTOMER SERVICE OFFICER

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for the full order administration process for a range of customers worldwide. Your most important tasks are:

  • Handle customer's orders
  • Take care of the contract and order administration
  • Set-up and coordinate transport planning with external transporters and monitor the execution and the costs
  • Collect the required documents (internal/external and from different authorities)
  • Prepare and issue the invoices
  • Update customer master data
  • Take responsibility in projects (SAP, customs, transport,…)
  • Daily contact with customers, transporters, authorities and others and internal departments such as Sales, Production, Supply Chain and Quality.
  
Key Qualifications
  • Bachelor degree or experience in sales administration or customer service
  • Good knowledge of Dutch and English
  • Experience with an ERP system (at Beneo we use SAP)
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Diplomatic and able to build solid relationships
  • Experience in EU/export legislation and logistics is a plus

Technical Sales Manager

Key Responsibilities  

  • Translate the sales strategy into a category specific meat and fish action plan
  • Coordinate and follow-up meat activities and issues (e.g. quality issues, overdue,…), to ensure the qualitative and quantitative target results are realized
  • Act as the contact person for the company (e.g. logistic, invoices, payment) with designated customers
  • Monitor sales results throughout the year (sales volumes, prices, forecast vs. budget)
  • Identify sales opportunities, execute price negotiations, establish local relationships and follow-up on sales initiatives, to ensure all sales potential is used.
  • Follow-up on local projects, request resources and take actions when necessary to ensure a qualitative completion of the project, within the timeframe.
  • Collect and process information on subjects such as competitors, end users, general economic conditions, trends and market share
  
Key Qualifications 
  • Master’s degree in Bio-Engineering, Bio-Chemistry, Food Technology, Agricultural Science, Veterinary Science, Biological Science, Business Administration, Commercial Engineering or a similar degree
  • Experience in a similar position preferably in savoury is an advantage

Bioprocess Contract Manufacturing Lead
 
The Bioprocess Contract Manufacturing Lead will establish the commercial supply chain for Paleo’s products. Selecting the appropriate contract manufacturing organizations aligned with the precision-fermentation based manufacturing process. Liaise the external activities with Paleo’s process development team, regulatory and business to ensure a solid scale up from lab to commercial scale production volumes. The role will report to the Chief Technology Officer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish a long-term partnership with contract (development) manufacturing organizations (C(D)MOs)
  • Provide expert advice to internal cross-functional teams on the development of scalable manufacturing processes
  • Manage the tech transfer and scale-up of manufacturing processes to pilot and commercial scale CMOs, and establish project leadership teams
  • Integrate data management and analytics into daily operations to capture, analyse, share and report results across functions for continuous productivity improvement
  • Lead the planning and coordination of all activities with the C(D)MO aligned to the different stages of the product pipeline, including the delivery of regulatory batches
  • Establish the commercial supply chain and QA & Product Stewardship processes
  • Support the team with product registration
  • Create competitive advantage by identifying new IP opportunities

Key Qualifications
 
  • MSc or PhD in Bioprocess engineering or similar field 
  • Several years of relevant working experience in industrial scale precision fermentation taking commercial bioprocesses from the lab to commercial scale and establishing the commercial supply chain
  • Strong expertise in the large-scale (yeast) bioprocessing of heterologous protein based products, cost modelling and more specifically be familiar with proteins and technologies for their recombinant production and characterization
  • Hands-on experience in C(D)MO relationship building, tech transfer, managing C(D)MO activities and contract negotiations

  • An understanding of regulatory and product quality standards is required as well as an affinity with IP.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills (fluent in English, written and spoken)
  • The ability to work with the project team at Paleo’s R&D site in Leuven and to travel and work remotely at the C(D)MO facilities during negotiations, tech transfer, process scaling runs and commercial production campaigns.

Functie
