Key Responsibilities

  • Meet with customers (= food companies) to understand expectations, needs and requirements.
  • Develop recipes or improve existing model recipes to meet customers’ needs in terms of taste and texture in coordination with the food technologist.
  • Adding a culinary layer to BENEO’s model recipes and present appealing and mouth-watering food products and dishes to customers and at fairs, exhibitions and innovation days
  • Study and analyze the relevant recipes and gather/order all necessary ingredients.
  • Experiment with recipes and suggest new ingredients.
  • Ensure compliance with all hygiene, health and safety regulations within the kitchen/application lab area

Key Qualifications

  • A first experience as a Chef or Cook
  • Bachelor diploma in Culinary Arts preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of culinary, cooking, baking and pastry including chocolate techniques
  • Advanced knowledge of ingredients, flavors and spices
  • Team player: cooperate with the food technologists
  • Creative and eye for detail
  • Able to travel frequently (on average 1-2 days a week, mainly in Europe)
  • Fluent in English, other languages such as Dutch, French and German are an asset
